cottage life

For those of you who did not get the chance to visit this last term here are some tid bits of cottage #2. Before this I lived in a tinnie tiny dorm room with walls that did not reach the ceiling. In other words, I lived in a cubicle with 16 other people's cubicles. That's another story for another day...

fall fluff

Charleston lacks the type of Fall the rest of Oregon sees this time of year. November is one of my favorite months...

One of the overlook parks in North Portland...

My brothers house has a huge garden full of interesting things, like this mimosa tree.
Back in Eugene it was time to find some Ginko leaves changing from their lovely green to yellow

Maybe it will be cool to be an American again...

Reactions around the world

I still cannot believe what happened on Tuesday night. I suppose it became reality when I was cruising around Coos Bay and lots of people were dressed proudly in victory blue and their Obama shirts. Coos Bay! Yes our margin of loss to McCain was smaller than in Douglas County. Fancy that! Change is coming to America because we didn't want more of the same.

Health insurance just in time for graduation?

Portland Saturday Market

Really you must go if you never have. Wine tasting, fresh bagels, interesting fruits and veggies and of course beautiful flowers.

Some of this came from the family garden as well...

At the bottom of the lake

Overall an epic trip: lots of thunder clouds, much swimming, the tragic loss of the infamous pink sunglasses, sun rays, drinking at noon, water skiing , bad shuffling, dinos and curtis beating up the 8 year old...

Charleston

We love the mecca, not always the mudflats, but certainly on the last day of the term. Yep this is Summer in Charleston...
