Snoop & Puffy Pancakes

I'm starting off the week properly:

Oven puff pancake? yes yes please! David Eyre's Pancake. No photos, sorry I will get them next time.

While baking said puff pancake you must set the mood for consumption and a productive day (it is after all my sunday):

I finally snagged a copy from CurtiP. Life is now complete!

om nom nom

I love food! but you knew that...

First up! the discovery of Swiss chard from the peejay town farmers market & the love of eating color for dinner.

Second: the littlest tastiest Oregon strawberry

and how it was converted into awesome-ness.

Third: melon is pretty good. watermelon? even better! But what is it that makes watermelon even more incredible: the melon baller.

And for last, the ˚76 day at sunset bay post US losing in the world cup. The day was met with a bit of sadness, the only time you will see me wearing patriotic colors, and a picnic courtesy of the GO. organic raspberries are always a good thing, especially when you can enjoy them at the beach with swiss cheese, wheat thins, fat tires and your partner in crime.

That day was littered with blackmail photos and even better nano videos.

It is peach/blueberry season so this will also be going down very very very soon.

spice cream & kitties

Strawberry-cinnamon frozen yogurt

Step 1.
{Greek style yogurt, sugar, freshly squeezed lemon juice, vanilla, ground cinnamon, lemon zest, salt & fresh strawberries}

Step 2.
mix it alllll up
(yes my parents own an ice cream maker, if you have the space and the funds buy one. now.)

Step 3.
omnomnomnnom nomnom.

I delicately peel through every page, article, picture & word in my current issue of ReadyMade. After I finish it, I wait and wait for the next one while I scour through the old ones for new ideas and such. They have recently been doing these awesome food articles {pancakes of all sorts, tarts of all sorts, potato salads of all sorts, hangover food & very recently ice cream of all sorts}. Needless to say the spice cream recipes had me excited. Next on the list is the Three Spice Chocolate ice cream.

Also, buddy has a mad crush on me... I'm okay with that though.

the month of may

was incredibly packed! I think I stayed at my apartment for maybe one weekend the whole month and of course that was a the weekend an incredible opening happened at the Schnitzer for a really cool show... pisser. That's another story for another day, but if you are in Eugene and like polaroids and sparkly shoes you should go...

nom nom tikka masala

an experiment in making workout clothing...

A gift for a certain someone...

Pillowcases! They turned out pretty cool, but required a lot of patience. I found nice, but badly sewn pillowcases at ross, ripped out the stitching, recut and ironed them, found backing to do embroidery on the machine and by hand. The wash away backing and I had a tug o war and I recommend hand rinsing the stuff out before putting in the washing machine. it's pretty gooey, but kept things stable while stitching. After little lessons learned I loved this gift idea and I think he liked them too. And yes those are my attempt at making outlines of ginkgos... they look at little bit like odd hearts, but I like them and curtis always tends to get a kick out of me yelling out "Ginkgo! look!" every time we walk or drive past one.

So of course we made pizza & had beer. His apartment is nice and warm from all of the exposed windows so the dough poofs up really well.

And visited my photobooth

has it really been 5 years already? <3
